Feeling more and more excited that day. Lying down on sofa watching Liverpool match is one of the most relaxing thing I will do at home, especially on a boring weekday. I never expect myself to be watching their match in a stadium. Huiying’s BF drove there and the parking was full.. the whole place was filled with RED. Lucky for us, Yiheng and Choonyan helped us book some seats which are located at a very good position.

Before even walking into the stadium, I could hear fans singing You’ll never walk alone and other Liverpool songs. A visit to Anfield on a European night has always been a dream of mine. I wanted to experience the feeling of hair standing when all the fans sing. Well, that was what many other soccer players will describe when they visit Anfield.

When I stepped into the stadium, I was like WOW. So many people.. I read from reports that there were 40,000 fans so you could imagine them singing and cheering for the team. As soon as I was seated down, the match had already started. My vision was on the pitch 24/7, not even wanting to have a blink. After 15minutes then I realised I was too engross with the match that I have to take out my camera to take pictures lol.

As I predicted, it will be a high scoring match and it ended with a 5-0 victory to the reds. The first half was quite normal as the reds created lots of chances but the Lions defended well. There were some glimpse of hope for the Lions, some of the passes, tricks and movement really impressed the me. First half ended 1-0 with Varonin taking a shot deflecting off a defender’s leg and went into the net.

During the break, lots of fans went to buy beer and Liverpool accessories. There were very long queues in every stall. Wanted to get a Liverpool lanyard for myself but it was sold out.

Second half started with some substitutions. It was close to first team during the 2nd half for the reds, while Singapore team subbing most of their first team players out. So at that point of time I was already expecting more goals.. After Riera scored the 2nd goal, the fans were all screaming and shouting for Fernando Torres and Alonso. Everyone was singing Torres’ song and I really feel like I am in Anfield. But I know it was only 1/10 as loud as Anfield.

When the match ended, everyone gave a standing ovation for the team when they gave a walk pass around the field. I have to admit some of the singings during the match almost made me cry if I didn’t control my emotion lol. Before leaving the stadium, everyone sang You’ll never walk alone again for the last time. After which, a group of people were singing near the exits. Initially, I heard them sang ManUre’s song which was like WTF. But when I listened carefully, they actually changed the lyrics and was scolding ManUre lol, asking ManUre to bring it on next season. It will be hard for me to describe the feeling. All I can say was POWER.

Outside the stadium, everyone was going off in different direction and it was when the best moment of the night begin. You could see a swarm of REDS flooding the carparks, stadium gates and everyone was singing another Liverpool song together. It was like armm.. no government, nobody’s business. The fans were all going crazy.

As for me, I was holding a huge Liverpool flag which YF brought. I was crazy as well. I even hold it behind my back as though it looked like a cape, so you can imagine I was running and jumping around in high spirit trying to make the Liverpool logo fly as high as possible. It was also one of my craziest moment of life, with the Liverpool fans.

Saturday, Liverpool squad went to Clarke Quay for a ride on the boat. I didn’t go that day as it will be very hot and sunny, I don’t want to risk getting fever again after I finally recovered from it. I lent YF my camera so shall upload the pics since it’s with me. Heard that there were 4000 fans who went that day.

First of all, I am going to talk about how I become a Liverpool fan. I don’t exactly remember when was that but its either pri4 or 5. Soccer has always been my most favourite sports since pri3, as a soccer player I was telling myself maybe I should support a team since I am so passionate about soccer. The first ever soccer match I watched was coincidently Liverpool vs ManUre, and the final score was Liverpool won 2-1. During the match, I really like the way Liverpool play and it was when my love for Liverpool started.

I can say I am a diehard fan of liverpool. Although I didnt have lots of their products, but in my heart, everything was about Liverpool when it comes to soccer. Gerrard is a very inspirational player which is why it become my idol. He influenced me alot which develops me into a player who work extra hard when it comes to sports. Even when I feel very exhausted during sports, I will always remember his “unlimited energy level” which will makes me push myself beyond the limit. This really brings my game to another level, especially when you see your opponents all being tired but you still have the energy to go further.

Liverpool is a very humble club, with humble manager and good history. They play clean football and have disciplined players. Which is why I feel very emo every season when they don’t win the EPL. So hope the upcoming season, I won’t have to emo again

Velocity

Last Friday, I went to Velocity with YF to see Torres and Carragher. Despite having slight fever that day, I still force myself to go. It was the passion that drives me on and I always believe we must fight for the things we love The crowd was huge and best spots were already taken up. Feeling very desperate and crazy, we climbed on top of the power generator box. This is what I told YF “Eh Fuck it liao.. just climb the generator. The most when tio kan then we come down” The reason why I scare tio kan is because there was a signage of a danger sign. High voltage and by climbing on top of it, we never know if that thing will explode or any shit will happen.

But I am glad to make that decision, I was on top of everyone with the bestest of bestest view. Soon one by one, other fans came and ask me, “Can you see them clearly?” And I told them “No, I can’t.” Haha.. I was just being afraid that the generator box will really explode if too many people stand on top of it. Being as passionate as me, they still climb up despite me telling them I couldn’t get a good view. Liverpool fans are really friendly people. Me and YF spoke to 2 other fans, one from Indonesia. I can remember there were 4 times I experienced strangers come talking to me when I was wearing Liverpool jersey or sweater in the past. They were also Liverpool fans.

Before I update on war status, i shall blog about what i have done these few days. It had been a hell for me. Hell lots of fun lol. I shall start from Sun morning..

Sunday

Didnt sleep the previous night. Met up with gong and 2 other sg regiment mates for supper and chit chat session. So coincidently both of them oso call Jack. Now i have 4 Jacks and 4 Andys in my hp -.- talk talk talk all the way till near 7am. Went home aftertat but didnt manage to get any sleep coz u noe my pattern, i wont b able to wake up for bball if i head to bed.

8am Kang reached my hse to disturb me liao.. but heng he came if not i would have fallen aslp. Bball at 9am till 1+ 2pm. Went 211 for kuey chup meal. V yummy the kuey chup there. Reached home around 3.30pm, bath and went straight for badminton.. YES. sibeh shag.. didnt slp den ball + badminton. sometimes i feel that im a superman.. who dont need to slp and eat but cannot dont smoke. CIG FTW!!

Damn long didnt play badminton liao.. getting rusty but enjoyed alot. Andy, Teck, Gong, Ivan, YF, Chee, Koon was there as well. we splitted ourselves into different team to play doubles. everything was fun but had to wash up and meet up with Huiying and BF to watch liverpool match cause they will b driving there. so excited that i didnt feel tired at all.

Will not be talking much abt the match coz I will b posting another post for it. After match, we went to Changi to have our dinner and fetch Huiying’s parents. We ate at Popeye and it has great food there. It was my first time eating Popeye and i feel that the chicken and fries there totally own KFC or any other fastfood. TOTAL OWNAGE. nth to fight.. KFC has always been my all time fav but seriously they can FO liao if u try b4 Popeye.

On the journey back home, I buay tahan liao so tried to rest my eyes in car but didnt realise i fell aslp.. I belif most of u noe i hav a strange habit when im aslp. When people talk to me, I will reply back normally, thus making people have the thinking that im a light slper or im awake. But tats nt true. I was actually sleeping and even me myself dunno what has happen. Many times when people try to gif me morning call, they will think that im awake. My record was I chatted with the person for whole of 10mins while in sleep mode. So during the journey, i was actually chatting with huiying unknowingly till yf tells me -.-

Reached woodlands at around 1am and met gong for supper. Went home wanted to upload photos but fell aslp after switching on my com. As usual wake up kena nag nonstop.

Monday

Went KTV with Huiying, BF and YF in the afternoon. We are a bunch of crazy “sorethroaters” who lost our voice during the liverpool match. we SCREAM, SHOUT, SING until cmi liao but still not enuff haha. Went to Marsiling CC this time instead of partyworld. The place was introduced by Huiying. So i decided to go there try try see see. It was so fucking cheap that nxt time i need to think twice when people ask me to go partyworld. The rate at Marsiling CC was like 6bucks per pax for 4hrs. Songs are latest, updated like partyworld, can ownself adjust aircon, sound system, good mics, can bring own food and drinks in. Total ownage as well.

After KTV, rushed home to prepare for bball but unfortunately heaven doesnt want us to play as it was raining.. Fell aslp again after my dinner and gong asked me out for lim teh session i think, i cant remember what exactly happened but will clearify with him later. i think he called and i said ok in my sleep. I hope he dun get mad for being PS by me lol. anyway i dont even know wad i told him on the phone lar nor do i noe he called until i check my call records. jajajaja

War Status update: Flu KO. Cough more stronger than ever. Sorethroat joined in the battle. Leg muscle ache stronger than ever. Hand muscle ache joined in the battle. Sunburnt joined in the battle. Things are not very favourable at my side here. Im going to sleep till i wake up naturally, coz my body is really going to give way soon. After today, I need to adjust my life back to work work work liao. Enough of fun, now its time to chiong. R.I.P JQ.
